Well, this certainly has been a roller coaster year for the cast and crew over at Chuck. Following the massive campaign that led to the series being renewed for a third season, the show premiered with much fanfare and found itself one of NBC’s powerhouse shows. Then, after a lukewarm reaction from fans to a plot development followed by an extended hiatus due to the winter Olympics, it was unclear if Chuck would live to see a season four. Even though the ratings never reached what they were at season three’s beginning, NBC has done the right thing and has picked up the spy series for another season. Chuck ended its ambitious third season with a two-hour adventure that was funny, entertaining, and action packed. Continue reading
Well, my fellow fans of Chuck, there is much cause for celebration, because NBC has actually done the right thing and renewed the series for a well deserved fourth season! This means that there won’t have to be a grassroots campaign of eating hundreds of sandwiches this time around! This welcome news also happened to hit the airwaves during a time where Chuck presented two particularly strong episodes that brought an interesting twist to Chuck’s new life as an international man of mystery while leading up to what looks to be yet another amazing season finale. Continue reading

When we last left the newest CIA operative, Agent Charles Bartowski, things were looking pretty good. Before the break, Chuck had gained control of the intersect for the most part, and after killing a traitorous double agent he finally was able to win back Sarah’s heart. In fact, the last episode seemed like the perfect ending for a season finale. However, the break is over and we’re in the final stretch that is leading to the finale of this impressive third season of Chuck. As if to give the loyal Chuck fans a gift, this latest episode seemed to present everything that the fans have been asking for. Continue reading

However, as Chuck’s dreams of becoming a spy are coming true, his dreams of a future with Sarah are slowly drifting away as her relationship with Agt. Shaw becomes more and more serious. With the latest two chapters of Chuck, we see Chuck and his crew pull out all the stops to win Sarah back. Well, it’s been a long and complicated journey for Chuck Bartowski, but the time has finally arrived for him to prove if he has what it takes to finally become an official CIA operative. For the past 3 years, we’ve seen Chuck go through hell, very entertaining at times, in his quest to become a spy and in the latest episode of Chuck, he finally gets to show everyone what he’s got in ‘Chuck Vs the Final Exam.’ Continue reading
One of the most successful things about Chuck is it’s awesome characters. Honestly, how can you get better characters than Chuck Bartowski, Sarah Walker, Morgan Grimes, and Captain Awesome? While the majority of the series has been focused on Chuck’s evolution into a spy, we’ve gotten some interesting back-stories on a number of the supporting characters. In the latest chapter in season 3 of Chuck, we are treated to quite an interesting look at the past of one of the coolest and tightlipped characters on the show, John Casey. Continue reading
So far this third season of Chuck has delivered quality entertainment from week to week. The entire dynamic of the series has begun to change with the new and improved intersect and the fact that the character of Chuck Bartowski has been slowly evolving into a full-fledged spy. However, everything that we know about the world that Chuck finds himself in is about to change, and the latest episode ‘Chuck Vs the Beard’ is the beginning of something very different and special. For the past few weeks, the world’s eyes have been set on the winter Olympic games in Canada. Due to the extensive coverage of this momentous event, we have been without many of our favorite shows for quite some time. Well, all the fun of the Olympics has ended, and it’s time to go back to our favorite shows, which means Chuck is back! When we last saw the Chuck gang back in ‘Chuck Vs The Mask’ things were seriously changing in the world of Chuck Bartowski. Not only was Chuck working with a new confidence, but also he was continuously impressing Agent Shaw (Brandon Routh) with his spy ability. Continue reading
A look at the rest of Season 3 of the Village Favorite. Continue reading
Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen Chuck Bartowski grow and mature in his journey from random, everyday geek into an up-and-coming super spy. Recently, not only has Chuck accomplished his first solo mission, but he’s successfully worked with an asset and has impressed the newest member of the team, Daniel Shaw (Brandon Routh). As for his personal life, Chuck is finding it more and more difficult to keep his spy life seperate from his relationship with his family and friends. In fact, Chuck’s constant odd behavior has drawn the suspicions of Morgan and Ellie, who are both obsessing over finding out the secret behind Chuck’s abnormal behavior. So far, this third season of Chuck has been downright fantastic, with solid episode afer solid episode, and the latest chapter ‘Chuck Vs The Mask’ is yet another excellent addition to such a fun and interesting series. Continue reading
As this third season of Chuck goes on, it’s pretty clear that the writers of this awesome series are becoming more and more confident in their work and the work of the talented actors that viewers have grown to absolutely love. In last week’s solid episode ‘Chuck Vs First Class’, not only did Chuck successfully complete his first solo mission, but in the process, he recruited a new Nerd Herd employee. This week, Chuck’s evolution into a full-blown spy takes another giant step when he is given his first asset to work with. This is yet another solid episode and watching Chuck transform from the naïve geek that we met in season 1 to the spy he’s becoming is one of the most interesting things on TV. Continue reading
After last week’s damn near perfect ending to the great two part story that incorporated Captain Awesome into Chuck’s spy life, things are beginning to change while the group are under the command of Special Agent Daniel Shaw. Agt. Shaw is doing a bit of a shake up of Operation Bartowski by sending Chuck on his first solo mission. Of course Sarah and Casey are against this, but Shaw wants to know what his newest team member is really made of. The results are quite entertaining, and while not as perfect as the past 2 episodes, ‘Chuck Vs. First Class’ showcases a lot of laughs and is a very entertaining adventure. Continue reading
Last week, we saw Captain Awesome becoming envious of Chuck and his life as a spy and desperately wanted in on some of the action. Well, how’s the old saying go? Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. After lending a hand in a mission to protect a foreign leader, Devon has found himself captured by The Ring – the group of spies whose motives are still unknown, but re responsible for the death of Bryce Larkin. After one of the coolest episodes Chuck has ever presented us, this week’s chapter, Chuck Vs. Operation Awesome truly lives up to it’s title and closes out one of the best two-parters I’ve ever seen on television. Continue reading
Last year, when NBC was reconfiguring their entire prime-time lineup to accommodate Jay Leno, many talented people were left unemployed as show after show was cancelled. The one show that came the closest to ultimate doom was the action/comedy Chuck, and if it weren’t for the rabid fans of the series, chances are we wouldn’t have gotten this third season. Be that as it may, fans wrote letters, singed petitions, and ate tons of Subway sandwiches and the show was granted this third year. Continue reading
In my opinion, when it comes to network TV, it doesn’t get any better than NBC’s Chuck. One of the greatest aspects of the series is the music featured throughout the series. Unlike many other TV shows, which feature music in montages and during the closing credits, Chuck actually features the majority of it’s awesome music in the actual episodes. Continue reading
